Ensanchemos Esta Casa – Let’s Enlarge This Tent

“Ensancha el sitio de tu tienda, y las cortinas de tus habitaciones sean extendidas; no seas escasa; alarga tus cuerdas, y refuerza tus estacas“. Isaías 54:2 (RVR1960).

“Enlarge the place of your tent,
And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords,
And strengthen your stakes.” Isaiah 54:2-

El Profeta Isaías escribió este mensaje profético entre los siglos VIII y VII a.C. como una promesa de Dios a Israel durante la fase final del exilio babilónico. En medio de gran adversidad, Dios les instruye a prepararse para una expansión masiva, ya que sus descendientes heredarían naciones.

Actualmente, somos testigos del mover de Dios a nivel global. Movimientos en diversos países, iglesias, ministerios, grupos generacionales y étnicos, se activan y colaboran en esfuerzos para avanzar el Reino de Dios en la tierra; reforzando sus ‘Estacas de Fe’ para ensanchar El Reino. Este mover de Dios es sin precedente, y crea, en la comunidad de fe, la expectativa de un gran avivamiento.

Esta transformación está ocurriendo en todo el mundo, y nos anima a “ampliar la tienda, estirar las cuerdas y clavar bien las estacas“.

Great Commission College (TGCC) es parte de este mover de Dios y nos proponemos establecerlo con estacas de fe para la expansion.

Como matrimonio, la Dra. María Teresa y Néstor Montilla, PhD, respondieron al llamado de Dios clavando las primeras Estacas de Fe para fundar Great Commission College.

Posteriormente, un grupo de ministros, iglesias y organizaciones se unieron como colaboradores, proveyendo sus ‘Estacas de Fe’, incluyendo:

• La Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal La Gran Comisión, considerada la iglesia evangélica hispana más antigua del estado de New Jersey, establecida en 1951 a través de su Instituto Teológico La Gran Comisión, fundado en 1972.
• un cuerpo de líderes eclesiásticos intra-denominacional (obispos, clérigos, pastores, ministros y funcionarios) que fungen como junta directiva.
• Dawn Treader Christian School, la única escuela primaria cristiana en Paterson, NJ, fundada en 1977 por el Comité Evangélico para Ministerios Urbanos en Paterson (ECUMP);
• Ministerios de Multiplicación del Evangelio presidido por un grupo de ancianos cuya misión es formar ministros y multiplicar discípulos de Jesucristo;
• Profesorado, estudiantes, voluntarios y,
• Un pequeño grupo de donantes y dadores comprometidos con sembrar la buena semilla para El Reino.

Prophet Isaiah delivered this prophetic message between the VIII and VII centuries B.C. as God’s promise to Israel during the final phase of the Babylonian exile. Despite great adversity, the Israelites were urged to prepare for massive expansion, as their descendants would inherit nations.

Currently, we witness a moving of God unfolding globally. Diverse countries, churches, ministries, people of different backgrounds, ethnicity and age are collaborating in efforts to advance The Kingdom of God; by stregthening their ‘Stakes of Faith’ to expand The Kingdom. This movement is emerging in unprecedented ways, and many believe a great revival is underway.

Indeed, this transformation is occurring worldwide as we are called to enlarge God’s tent, stretch out the ropes, and drive the stakes well.

The Great Commission College (TGCC) is part of this move of God and is committed to establish it with ‘Stakes of Faith’ for expansion.

As a couple, Dr. María Teresa and Néstor Montilla, PhD, answered God’s call by driving the initial ‘Stakes of Faith’ for the founding of The Great Commission College.

Subsequently, ministers, churches and organizations joined as partners and collaborators, bringing their ‘Stakes of Faith’, including:

• The Great Commission Pentecostal Church of God, considered the oldest Hispanic Evangelical church in New Jersey, established in 1951, through its Great Commission Theological Institute, founded in 1972.
• a body of intra-denominational ecclesiastical leaders (bishops, clergy, pastors, ministers, and officials) who serve as governing board.
• Dawn Treader Christian School, the only Christian elementary school in Paterson, NJ founded in 1977 by the Evangelical Committee for Urban Ministries in Paterson (ECUMP);
• Gospel Multiplication Ministries presided over by a group of overseers whose mission is to train ministers and multiply disciples of Jesus Christ;
• Faculty, students, volunteers; and
• A small group of committed donors and givers who cheerfully plant seeds for the Kingdom.
