Annual plenary meeting of the Great Commission College Board of Trustees held on Saturday, December 19, 2025 (11:00am EST), at the Dawn Treader Christian School campus, 1 Market Street, Paterson, NJ 07501. Reunión plenaria anual de la Junta Directiva de Great Commission College celebrada el sábado 19 de diciembre de 2025 en el campus de Dawn Treader Christian School, 1 Market Street, Paterson, NJ 07501.

The Great Commission College (TGCC) is overseen by a diverse Board of Trustees, a body that reflects the broad spectrum of the institution’s stakeholders. This board, which is periodically appointed and or elected to serve two to three-year terms, includes representatives from the student body, members of the faith-based community and the public, private and nonprofit sectors. These individuals, drawn from diverse religious, academic and social backgrounds, share the values and principles of TGCC and serve without compensation.

Trustees, as the custodians of TGCC’s mission and vision, demonstrate a deep and unwavering commitment to maintaining and upholding these guiding principles. Their broad authority over the University’s affairs is exercised with the aim of ensuring that every decision is in line with the institution’s core values. To achieve this, they delegate all leadership and management authority to the College’s founding President, entrusting him with the responsibility to set standards for the entire institution. The President, in turn, has the power and authority to delegate specific responsibilities to other officers, thereby ensuring a well-structured and efficient management system.

As the chief executive officer, the college president holds ultimate responsibility for spearheading the TGCC accreditation process. In addition, the President leads the licensure process to ensure TGCC obtains required licenses from the New Jersey Department of Education to offer academic degree programs and/or college credit-bearing courses.

While the president has the authority to delegate much of the work to other senior administrators, it’s important to note that he is directly accountable to the board of trustees for the overall quality and operation of the institution, including its official approvals and outcomes. This accountability ensures a high level of oversight and quality control.
