President’s Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Immediate Duties: As the chief executive officer, the college President holds ultimate responsibility for spearheading the TGCC accreditation process. This involves working closely with accrediting bodies, faculty, and staff to ensure that the College meets or exceeds all necessary standards. In addition, the President plays a crucial role in leading the licensure process to ensure TGCC obtains the required licenses from the New Jersey Department of Education and pertinent government authorities. This role involves navigating complex regulatory requirements and advocating for the College’s needs. These responsibilities ensure the College’s compliance with all necessary regulations, providing a secure operational environment for all stakeholders.
General Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: The President guides TGCC in developing and implementing a strategic plan that aligns its mission, vision, goals, and resources to ensure long-term sustainability and growth in order to serve every student enrolled effectively.
• Academic Management: Supervises the quality of academic and student programs, fostering an innovative learning environment and creating a climate that stimulates the intellectual and spiritual growth of students.
• Institutional Advancement, Public, Community & Government Relations, Fundraising, and information technology: Lovingly develops and maintains strong relationships with the community, alums, donors, and other stakeholders, while being a key advocate for the University’s fundraising efforts and growth. Prioritize developing and nurturing meaningful relationships with alums and key benefactors, participating in fundraising efforts, and connecting benefactors to the University’s mission and programs
• Personnel Management: Oversee the recruitment, development, evaluation, and retention of staff and faculty, seeking excellence and alignment with the institution’s Christian mission.
• Financial Management: Prepare and manage the annual operating and capital budgets, ensuring efficiency in the use of resources and the creation of new sources of income.
• Promoting Christian Identity: Ensuring that TGCC remains faithful to its Christ-centered mission and promotes a culture that reflects Christian values and principles in all facets of the institution. Possess a clear understanding of the institution’s core values and mission. Effectively communicate and champion those values and mission to internal and external stakeholders. Emphasize that the University maintains adherence to the truth of God’s Word. With grace and love as the foundation of all belief, education, and practice.
• Institutional Representation: To act as the primary leader advocate of the University before the community, defending its interests and promoting its vision and values.

Preferred Requirements and Skills
• Education: It is required the TGCC President has a strong academic background and terminal degrees, including a Ph.D., a Master’s degrees.
• Experience: It is required the President has more than 30 years of previous leadership documented experience within university administration, non-profit, and faith-based institutional management.
• Faith and Character: Deep Christian faith, godly leadership, and a genuine commitment to the values and mission of the University are essential to this position.
• Leadership: Possesses strong strategic leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate others, make difficult decisions, and manage a complex organization.
• Communication skills: Be an effective multilingual communicator, both oral and written, to interact with diverse audiences, including students, faculty, staff, donors, and the community at large.
• Financial Skills: Have a strong understanding of financial management and fundraising to ensure the financial health of the University.
